Autonomous Sensor Fusion Engineer

As an Autonomous Sensor Fusion Engineer at Cell Propulsion, you will be an integral part of our cutting-edge autonomy team that is focused on developing advanced electric mobility solutions for commercial vehicles. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and optimizing sensor fusion algorithms that integrate data from various sensors such as LiDARs, cameras, and radars. By combining these data sources effectively, you will contribute to enhancing the accuracy of perception and localization for autonomous vehicles, thereby playing a crucial role in building smart, reliable, and safe self-driving systems tailored for real-world commercial deployment. Your key responsibilities will include selecting sensors based on specific requirements, optimizing sensor performance and calibration to ensure reliability and precision, designing algorithms for sensor fusion and data integration, developing systems for object detection, tracking, and classification using sensor data, collaborating with software and hardware teams to integrate sensor systems with the pods autonomous driving algorithms, as well as performing testing and validation to ensure that sensor fusion algorithms meet safety standards. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience. Your expertise should encompass strong knowledge of sensor fusion techniques such as Kalman filtering and particle filtering, as well as hands-on experience with LIDAR, Radar, Camera, GPS, IMU, and other sensor technologies. Additionally, familiarity with ROS, OpenCV, or other robotics frameworks, experience in real-time systems, and embedded software development will be advantageous.
