Role & responsibilities

Workshop manager is responsible for the daily operations of a technical workshop, including managing staff, ensuring quality and safety standards, handling client relationships, and controlling budgets.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Technical Expertise:

  Strong background in a relevant technical or mechanical field. Strong knowledge of automotive system and repair procedure is required

  .

• Education:

  Technical background is preferred. Diploma / Graduate in Automobile qualification is desirable.

• Experience:

  Minimum 5-6 years of experience in work shop management or a senior technician position is required.

• Leadership:

  Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, customers.

• Problem-solving:

  Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to technical and operational challenges.

• Organizational skills:

  Strong planning and time management abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Operations and workflow:

• Manage day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Plan and schedule maintenance and repair work.
• Monitor the progress and quality of work, and implement improvements.

• Staff and team management:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of mechanics and technicians.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training.
• Ensure the correct skills are matched to job tasks.

• Client and customer relations:

• Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide estimates.
• Build relationships with customers and manage their expectations.

• Resource and financial management:

• Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor revenue and expenses.
• Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.

• Quality, safety, and compliance:

• Maintain strict quality control standards.
• Ensure all workshop activities and equipment complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Maintenance and equipment:

• Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working order.
