As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at BMC, your role will involve contributing to the success of BMC and your own by performing various tasks such as: - Performing manual tests as well as developing automation using Python - Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback - Creating detailed test plans and test cases - Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities - Collaborating with various teams to ensure quality testing To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - 4+ years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience in software product development - 3+ years of hands-on test case automation development experience using Selenium & Java - Working knowledge of databases like Postgres, SQL, or Oracle - Managing automation frameworks and running regression suites - Experience with tools like JIRA, Github, and Code collaborator - Previous work on large-scale enterprise products with n-tier architecture Nice to have skills that our team can help you develop include: - Experience in working with Agile development methodology and virtual teams - Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins and related scripting for continuous testing - Working experience with container-based apps on Kubernetes, OpenShift - Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCI - Good documentation, communication, and presentation skills BMC offers a competitive compensation package, with the salary range for this role starting from 1,524,900 and going up to 2,541,500.
