Automation Testing

As an experienced Automation Testing professional at one of Weekday's clients in Pune, your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing robust automated testing frameworks and strategies across diverse technology environments. You should have deep expertise in automation tools, frameworks, scripting, and continuous integration, with a passion for improving software quality and delivery efficiency. It is essential to possess a strong understanding of testing principles, software development lifecycles, and best practices in QA automation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable and maintainable automation frameworks supporting regression, functional, integration, and performance testing. - Build, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit. - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps) to facilitate continuous testing. - Develop test plans, create reusable scripts, and execute automated test cases across various platforms, browsers, and devices. - Identify, log, and track software defects, collaborating closely with development teams for timely fixes and quality releases. - Utilize automation for performance validation and API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, JMeter, or K6. - Define and enforce QA automation best practices, coding standards, and documentation for long-term maintainability. - Partner with cross-functional teams to align testing objectives with business goals, mentor junior team members, and drive automation adoption. - Evaluate and recommend new automation tools, technologies, and approaches to enhance efficiency and coverage. - Generate detailed test reports, analyze automation results, and provide insights into quality trends and risk areas. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 7-20 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation. - Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar frameworks. - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or TypeScript. - Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket). - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices. - Knowledge of API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner) is advantageous. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with a proactive, quality-first mindset. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in testing microservices, cloud-native applications, or enterprise systems. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Exposure to AI/ML-driven test automation tools is an advantage. - ISTQB or equivalent test automation certification is preferred.,
