Automation Test Engineer

5+ years of experience, immediate joiners, Chennai location

Note: 2+years exp profiles are not considered.

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and/or API testing 

Build and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar 

Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements 

Identify and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce, and verify bug fixes 

Maintain detailed documentation of test scenarios, frameworks, and results 

Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner (if applicable) 

Promote automation best practices and improve test coverage and efficiency 

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives 

Requirements

5 years of experience in automation testing and test framework development 

Hands-on experience with one or more automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, etc. 

Strong coding/scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages 

Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured 

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI 

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies 

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills  

Knowledge of version control systems like Git
