Automation Test Engineer

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant automation testing experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• 3-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong focus on Automation Testing
• Hands-on experience in Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Strong experience in BDD framework using Cucumber
• Experience using Gradle as build and dependency management tools
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience in designing and executing end-to-end automation test scenarios
• Experience in functional, regression, and smoke testing
• Ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities and escalate risks
• Experience in database testing and backend validation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries, aggregations)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Essential Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java and Selenium
• Develop and maintain BDD feature files using Gherkin syntax
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results
• Validate data across UI, API, and database layers
• Identify, document, and track defects
• Collaborate with QA and Development teams
• Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Technical Skills

• Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber, Gradle
• TestNG / JUnit
• Git version control
• Microsoft SQL Server
• SQL querying and data validation
• API testing using Rest Assured (good to have)
• TFS / Azure DevOps for defect tracking and test management
