Job Description

You should have at least 1.5 to 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks. You will need to analyze requirements, design test cases, and develop comprehensive test plans. It is essential to execute automated tests and analyze the results to identify defects. Collaboration with developers to enhance testing strategies and processes is crucial. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing automated test suites and integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. Reporting, tracking, and verifying defects in collaboration with development teams will be part of your routine tasks. Regression testing to ensure new features do not disrupt existing functionalities is also a key responsibility. You will work closely with QA leads to define test automation strategies and participate in code reviews and testing methodologies discussions. Documenting test results, issues, and improvement opportunities is an essential part of this role. Monitoring and analyzing automation performance to improve efficiency and staying updated with the latest trends in automation technologies are key aspects. Providing training and support to team members on automation tools and contributing to process improvement initiatives within the testing team are also part of the job. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation, is required. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (such as Python, Java, or C#) is essential. Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit is also necessary. You should have a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies, as well as hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus. Other required qualifications include the ability to analyze complex software systems, write effective test plans, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for teamwork. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN, and familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla are advantageous. You should also be able to work independently, mentor junior team members, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.,
