Automation QA Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Cypress for web applications.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, contribute to test strategies, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across various environments.
• Ensure adherence to the test pyramid and best practices in test automation and software quality.
• Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and track them through resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines.
• Act as a quality advocate and collaborate with multiple teams to drive improvements in processes, tools, and standards.
Manage priorities and tasks efficiently in a demanding and fast-changing environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation roles.
• Strong proficiency with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript test scripting.
• Solid understanding of different types of testing (unit, integration, system, UAT, regression, exploratory).
• In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and the testing pyramid.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
• Familiarity with other testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium).
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools is a plus.
• Background in a DevOps or Continuous Testing environment.
