Automation QA Engineer - (Playwright)

Work Youll Do (Job Responsibilities):

• Design, build, and execute robust automated test solutions for web-based applications using

  Playwright with Python

  .
• Define and maintain automation frameworks to ensure scalable and maintainable test coverage.
• Work closely with developers and product owners to plan and refine user stories, ensuring test ability in an Agile Scrum/SAFe environment.
• Identify and prioritize test scenarios suitable for automation and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes across test, staging, and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and fellow QA engineers to ensure high product quality and seamless delivery.
• Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, automation frameworks, and execution reports.
• Participate in code reviews and help mentor junior QA engineers in automation best practices.
• Champion quality practices across the team by sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement.
• Support manual testing efforts when needed and ensure effective coverage across functional and regression testing.

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Playwright using Python

   for test automation.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with test frameworks such as Pytest.
• Experience with

  GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools

  , and exposure to

  AWS-based CI/CD environments

  .
• Experience with API test automation using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with databases like PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of testing principles, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum or SAFe environments, delivering features incrementally.
• Ability to effectively mentor junior team members and share automation best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
