Automation Engineer

As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). Your role will involve performing functional, regression, and smoke testing of web applications. Collaborating with developers and product teams to understand features and requirements will be essential. You will also be expected to identify, document, and track bugs and issues, participate in code reviews to improve test coverage, maintain test data and test environments, and contribute to enhancing test strategies and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 2 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation. Hands-on experience in Playwright for web testing is a must. A solid understanding of testing concepts, defect lifecycle, and Agile practices is required. Additionally, you should possess good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with version control systems like Git and CI tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins will be beneficial. Nice to have skills include experience with other automation tools like Selenium and Cypress, familiarity with REST API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured, and knowledge of performance or security testing. Being well-versed in these areas would be considered a plus for this role.,
