QA Automation

Role Overview
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and API testing using TypeScript/JavaScript and Cypress. Expected to drive quality practices, implement Page Object Model (POM), ensure robust test coverage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript.

Build and maintain Cypress-based UI automation suites.

Develop comprehensive API automation tests using tools/libraries such as Axios, SuperTest, Postman/Newman, or similar.

Implement and optimize Page Object Model (POM) structures for maintainable and readable test code.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure high test coverage.

Perform root-cause analysis for failures and drive defect resolution with development teams.

Contribute to defining QA standards, best practices, and documentation.

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure timely testing and release readiness.

Required Skills and Experience

4–6 years of experience in test automation.

Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.

Hands-on experience with Cypress for UI automation.

Solid experience in API automation, including writing automated API test suites.

Proven experience implementing and working with POM design patterns.

Strong understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP concepts.

Familiarity with git-based workflows.

Experience integrating automation into CI/CD systems.

Good understanding of testing principles, regression strategy, and automation ROI.

Preferred Skills

Experience with testing microservices architecture.

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of Docker or container-based test execution.

Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
