Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer at our MNC company, you will be responsible for participating in the quality assurance process of multiple SaaS-based analytical applications in HTML5 frameworks with SOA-based data architecture. Your main focus will be on ensuring quality ahead of CI/CD deployments by collaborating with developers and product managers within an Agile Scrum team. Your key responsibilities will include: - Determining quality assurance parameters and acceptance criteria - Verifying quality of products - Incorporating tests into reusable automated tests using automation frameworks such as Selenium and Postman - Conducting Performance Testing - Implementing test procedures and processes - Ensuring successful deployment of products - Responding to requests from Product Managers and Developers - Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures In order to succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience: - Hands-on experience in UI automation with open-source libraries like Selenium and Playwright - Strong experience in API automation, with Postman experience being preferred - Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with knowledge of Robot Testing Framework being a plus - Experience in Performance testing, with JMeter experience preferred - Familiarity with agile methodologies and a TDD and BDD approach to Software development - Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably in Kanban/Scrum settings - Financial experience, particularly in Retail Banking, would be advantageous - Minimum 5+ years of experience in automation for both GUI and API - Minimum 1+ years of experience with JMeter - Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills - Ability to mentor junior staff If you have past experience in Scrum settings with Agile Project management experience, it would be considered a valuable asset for this role.
