AutoCAD Designer

We are looking for a dynamic, bold, and responsible candidate to join our team as an Autocad Designer in sheet metal. The selected individual will play a crucial role in managing incoming project drawings, preparing drawings as per the provided views, nests for production, and ensuring seamless workflow coordination. Reporting directly to the proprietor, the candidate will be responsible for various key tasks and responsibilities. Drawing Management: - Handle all incoming technical and design drawings from clients. - Create drawings according to the views provided by the client. - Review, organize, and ensure that drawings are prepared for nesting and production. Nesting for Production: - Utilize nesting software such as AutoCAD and CAD/CAM tools to optimize material usage for production. - Prepare and send production-ready nests to the Laser team and turret operator. Project Tracking & Follow-Up: - Maintain and update the status of all incoming and ongoing projects. - Follow up on pending tasks to ensure deadlines are met. - Coordinate with clients for updates and clarifications as necessary. Staff & Vendor Coordination: - Address and resolve staff-related workflow challenges. - Communicate effectively with vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials and services. Reporting & Communication: - Provide daily updates to the proprietor on project statuses and any issues that may arise. - Act as a liaison between the proprietor, staff, and external parties to ensure smooth communication flow. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes: Technical Expertise: - Proficiency in nesting and design software like AutoCAD and CAD/CAM. - Understanding of manufacturing and production workflows. Bold and Confident Personality: - Strong decision-making skills and a proactive problem-solving approach. - Ability to resolve conflicts with staff and vendors in a professional manner. Organizational Skills & Communication: - Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in drawings and production processes. - Fluent in verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and requires in-person work at the designated location.,
