The Staff in the Business Intelligence team will be responsible for driving high-impact research and insights that support Client executives and C-suits priorities, client strategy, and thought leadership. The candidate is expected to possess strong research competencies, a solid understanding of IFRS, and emerging sustainability frameworks, along with deep expertise in financial analysis and sector intelligence.
Key responsibilities
- Financial analysis and research
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of companies, including valuation, benchmarking, and assessment of financial health, growth potential, and strategic positioning.
- Develop sectoral and thematic research reports, white papers, and thought leadership content aligned with business priorities.
- Apply IFRS knowledge to interpret financial statements and support audit and advisory engagements.
- Integrate sustainability research into sector insights, including ESG trends and benchmarking, regulatory developments, and impact assessments.
- Leverage databases such as Refinitiv, SP Capital IQ, Factiva, and EMIS for secondary research and data mining. Should be proficient in leveraging AI tools for data mining.
- Prepare go-to-market materials and presentations for client discussions and internal strategy sessions.
- Proficient in building comprehensive industry research reports and benchmarking analysis to assess the competitive positioning. Further, provide insights and observations based upon the analytics and benchmarking.
- Strong research and financial analysis capabilities in Financial Services sector would be a added advantage.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify strategic priorities and deliver insights that support account growth, client engagement, and board-level discussions.
- Demonstrate excellent skills in project execution, including operational analytics, project management, problem-solving, and solution implementation.
- Should ensure that all projects are delivered on time with expected quality levels. This includes interaction with stakeholders to align the project expectations, collaborating and working with the team members and complying with the quality review process.
- Employ effective search strategies and collate appropriate data leveraging a diverse set of secondary research resources (e.g., web search, online databases, government websites, research organizations, EY subscribed databases etc) and AI tools.

Experience
- 2+ years of experience, in financial analysis or equity research, preferably with a research organization, consulting firm or an investment bank.
- Education qualification includes MBA/PGDM in Finance/professional courses like CA/ACCA etc.
- Prior experience in Big 4 firms, consulting organizations, or research houses is preferred.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Familiarity with global market dynamics and cross-sectoral trends.
