Asst Manager- Purchase

As an experienced Supplier Development Engineer at KSB Limited, your role will involve collaborating with component teams to prioritize supplier development needs for Plastic, Rubber, Machined items, Brass Item, and Investment casting. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting new source evaluation and selection based on company norms and various parameters. - Utilizing product development through reverse engineering techniques. - Managing interactions between design engineers to ensure timely rollout of new products. - Reviewing technical specifications with Cross-Functional Team (CFT) for new developments. - Managing RFI & RFQ processes effectively. - Finalizing process design for Investment casting, Machining, Sheet metal, and Plastic within targeted PPM levels. - Applying strong knowledge of manufacturing and engineering practices, including DFMEA, PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis Studies, and PPAP. - Monitoring New Product Development (NPD) activities to ensure timelines and first-time-right development. - Participating in value engineering activities for cost reduction. Qualification and experience required: - BE in Mechanical Engineering with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience. Key knowledge and skills: - Proficiency in costing of commodities such as Machining, Sheet metal, Plastic, Rubber, and Investment casting. - Understanding of Engineering and manufacturing processes related to Casting, Machining, Sheet metal, and Plastic. - Familiarity with Process Tools, Jigs & Fixtures is essential.
