Purpose of this Role To conduct and lead electrochemical research activities related to performance enhancement, material evaluation, and failure mode analysis of lead-acid battery. The role supports innovation, product development, and material optimization initiatives aligned with strategic R&D goals. Brief Description of Role & Responsibilities (envisage current & future needs) Proposing disruptive innovations in electrochemical system design, diagnostics, or modeling that align with the company s energy storage technology roadmap. Exploring emerging electrochemical concepts (e. g. , bifunctional plates, asymmetric charge mechanisms, fast-pulse cycling) for next-generation lead-acid designs. Interpreting electrochemical degradation pathways and identifying governing factors for failure modes such as grid passivation, hydrogen evolution, and acid stratification. Electrochemical research and method development to study charge transfer, redox behavior, and aging in lead-acid batteries. Studying the impact of electrode microstructure, surface area, and porosity on ionic mobility and electron kinetics using integrated electrochemical and materials analysis. Publishing high-quality research findings, contributing to scientific patents, and presenting at electrochemical society meetings or international energy conferences. Building external research partnerships with academic institutions and technology collaborators to drive innovation.
