Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the residential and C&I solar segments
Generate leads through field visits, cold calls, networking, and digital outreach.
Conduct site assessments, load analysis, and feasibility studies in coordination with technical teams.
Present proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, channel partners, and vendors.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including documentation for subsidies and net metering as applicable.
Stay updated with MNRE policies, DISCOM regulations, subsidy schemes, and market trends.
Maintain sales pipeline and provide regular reports.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (Science/ Commerce). MBA preferred.

• 3 – 5 years of proven sales experience in rooftop or distributed solar projects.

• Strong understanding of solar energy systems, components, and market dynamics.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and proposal preparation.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Preferred Qualities:

• Self-driven and target-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.

• Understanding of C&I customer financials and solar ROI models.

• Exposure to subsidy processes under schemes like PM Surya Ghar or State Nodal Agencies
