Job Description

As a Security Engineer - Operations at Micron Technology, you will play a critical role in Information Security by providing effective layers of security to safeguard intellectual property. You will be part of a dynamic team focusing on Cyber Security Operations in Micron's IT Infrastructure & Operations. **Responsibilities And Tasks:** - Identify trends and drive requirements to enhance data loss prevention detection policies. - Work in 24x7 rotational shifts. - Engineer, configure, deploy, and maintain Firewall solutions. - Develop advanced alerts/reports for key stakeholders. - Upgrade security infrastructure to maintain current versions. - Keep patches up to date on security infrastructure. - Escalate issues to senior staff. - Resolve daily incident requests. - Maintain an audit review process for policy exceptions. - Fulfill daily service requests. - Participate in root cause analysis. - Troubleshoot with end users. - Be on call for quick response to and remediation of incidents. - Respond and participate in Critical incidents as part of an Emergency Response Team (ERT). **Qualifications And Experience:** - Hands-on experience with tools and technologies like Firewall (Cisco, Palo Alto), Web Proxy (Zscaler preferred), SSL VPN (Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Global Protect), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) appliances, IPSEC tunnel configuration, Stateful inspection, Remote Access solutions, and more. - Good understanding of security concepts such as access controls, identity management, data classification, and loss prevention. - Minimum 1 year of experience in IT infrastructure related to layered security products. - Familiarity with Network DLP technologies, IPS appliances, cloud-based web proxy, firewalls, VPNs, PKI, SIEM platforms, and more. - Excellent experience with Regular Expressions and web technologies. - Strong communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills. - B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
