Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Collaboration and Requirement Analysis

• Work closely with software developers, project managers, and support teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Identify and analyze business requirements and ensure proper coverage in test scenarios.

2. Test Planning and Execution

• Design, write, and execute test plans and test scripts for various types of testing including functional, performance, stress, and scalability testing.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments.
• Perform testing in different stages of development and deployment cycles to ensure consistent product quality.

3. Defect Tracking and Reporting

• Identify, document, and report bugs and issues clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
• Provide objective, constructive feedback to development teams for continuous improvement.

4. Quality Assurance and Risk Mitigation

• Ensure all software meets quality standards before release.
• Design test cases that minimize risks and prevent defects from reaching production.
• Monitor application performance and stability across different environments.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Review and analyze project documentation to ensure completeness and consistency.
• Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, results, and issues encountered.
• Present test results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

6. Project and Process Management

• Work across multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines.
• Participate in resource planning and contribute to QA process improvements.
• Ensure alignment with departmental goals and assist in meeting release deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-2 years of experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• API Testing using Postman
• Familiarity with Selenium and Javascript/Java
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and technologies.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
