Role & responsibilities : As an Associate QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality of our software products through comprehensive testing and feedback. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Collaboration and Requirement Analysis Work closely with software developers, project managers, and support teams to understand project requirements and deliverables. Identify and analyze business requirements and ensure proper coverage in test scenarios. 2. Test Planning and Execution Design, write, and execute test plans and test scripts for various types of testing including functional, performance, stress, and scalability testing. Conduct both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments. Perform testing in different stages of development and deployment cycles to ensure consistent product quality. 3. Defect Tracking and Reporting Identify, document, and report bugs and issues clearly and accurately. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and validate fixes. Provide objective, constructive feedback to development teams for continuous improvement. 4. Quality Assurance and Risk Mitigation Ensure all software meets quality standards before release. Design test cases that minimize risks and prevent defects from reaching production. Monitor application performance and stability across different environments. 5. Documentation and Reporting Review and analyze project documentation to ensure completeness and consistency. Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, results, and issues encountered. Present test results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 6. Project and Process Management Work across multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines. Participate in resource planning and contribute to QA process improvements. Ensure alignment with departmental goals and assist in meeting release deadlines. Preferred candidate profile 1-2 years of experience in both manual and automated testing. Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing. API Testing using Postman Familiarity with Selenium and Javascript/Java ISTQB certification is an added advantage. Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and technologies. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
