Associate Mfg. Engineer (Shift In charge)

As a Production Engineer, your responsibilities will include production planning, scheduling, and implementation. You will be expected to provide technical knowledge and solutions, conduct research on new processes and products, and maintain process documentation. Additionally, you will review new part drawings and processes to ensure proper machine utilization, evaluate safety, ergonomics, productivity, and quality, and make continuous improvements to processes. You should have knowledge in AutoCAD and operating, as well as experience in maintaining and implementing tool, fixture, and part changes to enhance product quality. Familiarity with gear machines such as Hobbing, shaping, Pointing, Shaving, hard turning, Cy Grinding, and Gear grinding, including operating, programming, and part setting, is required. You will also be responsible for maintaining all jigs, fixtures, and tools in-house, providing support for machine set-ups and training, and troubleshooting production issues to minimize downtime. In addition to your technical duties, you will be expected to provide training to personnel to enhance their departmental functions and coordinate maintenance controls related to the physical plant and production operation. Implementing SPC programs on the shop floor to ensure consistent quality and continuous product improvements will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 2 years of experience or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with machining equipment.
