Associate - Metal cutting lab

We are looking for an experienced Lab Associate S1 (FTE) to join our Metal cutting lab

Location: Ankleshwar, Gujarat

About the Role :

• Conduct testing activities for new product development of cutting tools and customer complaints analysis

• Conventional machine, CNC machines, Measurement machines scheduling for testing and analysis for optimum utilization and on time results publication

• Conduct benchmarking of competition and internal cutting tools, measurements, test cutting and failure analysis, report compilation and presentations.

• Digital presentations to the internal teams and Channel/Customer live streaming.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance of safety, legal and environmental is followed and implemented as a way of life.

• Strictly comply with organisation policies and procedures and ensure self and others follow strictly in the lab.

• Timely submission of test results both NPD and Customer complaint testing.

• Ensure safety and OEM s procedures are strictly followed during programming and operating the machines.

• Conduct elaborate testing of cutting tools and prepare test reports, failure analysis, inference and conclusion reports.

• Operate the measuring instruments available in the lab to aid test report generation and analysis.

• Conduct material analysis reports, metallurgical, physical properties

• Plan effective preventive maintenance needs of lab equipment and machines.

• Implement 5s in the lab and sustain it daily.

• Train other team members in programming and operating of CNC machines and other equipment available at lab.

• Identify and build relationships with external labs, suppliers for needs of the functioning of lab.

What We Are Looking For :

• Good knowledge about metal cutting tools, application and usage

• Interpretation of engineering drawing, GD&T

• Good CNC programming, operating knowledge and hands on

• Knowledge on CAM used for CNC machines programming and operating

• Should have led a team directly and has knowledge on competency development of self and team members.

• Very good English spoken, writing and presentation skills

• Basic knowledge MS Excel, PPT and SAP ERP

• Knowledge on metrology and hands on measurement techniques and instruments

• Basic statistics, Root cause analysis and problem solving
• Advanced knowledge on CNC programming and operating (Added Advantage)
• Knowledge in operating Zoller or Helicheck measuring instruments (Added Advantage)

Experience Required:

• Experience of 3-5 years on CNC machines programming and operation. Metal cutting tools usage and analysis

• Knowledge on measuring instruments with hands on .

EDUCATIONAL qualifications:

• Diploma. 3 years full time > CGPA 6.0 (60%) consistently from 10th, Diploma in Mechanical.
