Associate Lead AI/ML Engineering

Role Overview: You are an experienced and visionary Associate Lead AI/ML Engineer joining a fast-growing E-commerce team. Your role requires technical mastery and deep knowledge across AI/ML domains to design scalable, secure ML systems for real-world applications. In addition to contributing as a hands-on expert, you will help shape the AI strategy, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across technology and business functions. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, build, and deploy end-to-end ML systems at scale on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. - Lead the technical design and evaluation of ML models and MLOps frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals and system constraints. - Drive innovation in key AI domains like NLP (incl. LLMs), Predictive Analytics, and optionally Computer Vision or Recommendation Engines. - Mentor and guide engineers to foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning. - Partner with product and business stakeholders to define project roadmaps, validate impact, and deliver AI-powered features. - Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML, identifying opportunities to apply them in business contexts. Qualification Required: - Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience as a Senior ML Engineer or equivalent, with deep expertise in ML system development. - Cloud ML Systems: Strong background in designing and deploying secure, scalable AI systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure. - AI Breadth: In-depth knowledge in at least two of the following: NLP/LLMs, Predictive Analytics, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems. - Model Evaluation: Ability to assess trade-offs across different models, frameworks, and tools considering performance, cost, and speed. - Continuous Learning: Actively follow AI/ML advancements, bringing innovative solutions into production.
