Associate I - Reconciliation, Investment Banking, Asset Management

As a member of the Reconciliations team at UST, your role will involve ensuring the integrity of custody and cash position data within internal systems through daily reconciliation processes. This will include complete reconciliation, investigation, and allocation of all breaks within set SLAs and deadlines, requiring you to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting tight deadlines. Your interest in learning and utilizing technology will be beneficial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Accountable for allocated portfolios, proactively investigating and following up on queries from internal stakeholders, clients, counterparties, custodians, and administrators - Performing custody transaction and position reconciliation against internal records, maintaining ownership of daily cash and stock breaks, investigating differences, and monitoring timely resolution with processing teams and custodians/administrators - Conducting outstanding OTC bilateral collateral and position reconciliation, as well as outstanding fixed deposit positions between internal and counterparty records, ensuring timely resolution of breaks - Validating and updating internal records with relevant transactions, prioritizing workload according to risk or deadlines, and assisting in staff training - Contributing to department and company initiatives and projects Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in reconciliations or investment accounting - Strong investigation skills and familiarity with equities, fixed income, and derivative products - Proficiency in basic software including MS Excel - Understanding of operational risks and control frameworks, experience with Aladdin and Tri-Optima is advantageous - Ability to analyze and solve problems, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks appropriately, and embrace feedback and change - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop and manage relationships, adapt to changes quickly, and advocate for an innovative culture within the team About UST: UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider that partners with clients from design to operation, embedding innovation and agility into organizations.
