Associate Electronic Engineer

Position Summary

Sheekharr Starch Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Electronics Engineer with a strong foundation in electrochemistry, embedded electronics, and automation systems.

Role & responsibilities

1. Electrochemical System Design & Development

• Design, prototype, and optimize electrochemical systems such as cells, sensors, and reactors for process improvement.
• Conduct experiments on electrochemical reactions, electrode design, and system characterization.
• Integrate real-time monitoring systems (voltage, current, temperature, impedance) for process control and data acquisition.
• Develop energy conversion and storage systems such as fuel cells, batteries, or electrolysers as part of innovation projects.

2. Electronics & Embedded Systems Integration

• Design and implement embedded hardware and firmware for electrochemical instrumentation and process monitoring.
• Develop and test communication protocols (CAN, RS485, UART, SPI, IC) to ensure robust system interconnectivity.
• Interface microcontrollers (STM32, SAMC21, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.) with sensors, actuators, and automation equipment.
• Perform PCB design, schematic generation, and hardware debugging for new or existing control modules.
• Implement real-time data acquisition and feedback control loops for automated system operation.

3. Automation & AI Integration

• Design and program automation controllers (PLCs, SCADA systems, or embedded controllers) for electrochemical and process control systems.
• Develop or integrate AI/ML-based control systems for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and anomaly detection.
• Interface with AI/ML frameworks e.g., TensorFlow Lite, OpenAI API, Azure ML) for data-driven automation and analytics.
• Develop user-friendly GUIs or dashboards for real-time system visualization, control, and reporting.

4. System Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose and resolve electrochemical, electronic, or software-related issues across laboratory and production systems.
• Repair issues in control circuits, electronic boards, and automation hardware.
• Continuously improve system performance through data analysis, modelling, and optimization.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

• Document designs, experimental results, and process changes for internal review and knowledge transfer.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with AI/ML-based automation, predictive modeling, or process optimization.
• Knowledge of industrial process control in chemical or starch industries.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, LabVIEW, or custom dashboards).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electrochemical system design, embedded systems, or industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of electrochemical principles, sensor integration, and control systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Ladder Logic, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with microcontroller programming, PCB design, and industrial communication protocols.
• Familiarity with automation controllers (PLCs, SCADA, MATLAB) and data acquisition systems.
