Job Description

Role Overview: You are a highly skilled and experienced professional in the field of medical coding, especially in HCC Specialty, looking to join the team as an Associate Director/Director- Training Medical Coding in Hyderabad. With over 15 years of experience, you have a proven track record of managing large teams, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities, client and training team handling experience, along with a deep understanding of the healthcare and medical coding industry. Key Responsibilities: - Oversees the daily operations of the coding unit, including workload and staffing, hiring, disciplining, and performance appraisals, training, and monitoring the quality of work. - Develops long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs, ensuring their successful implementation. - Assists in budget planning, development, and control, evaluating the impact of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures for the coding unit. - Designs and implements systems to improve data accessibility, identifying, assessing, and resolving problems. - Prepares administrative reports, oversees and monitors the coding compliance program. - Coordinates educational and training programs on coding compliance elements such as appropriate documentation and accurate coding for all staff. - Ensures effective dissemination of regulatory, policy, and guideline changes. - Conducts and oversees coding audit efforts, coordinating monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy. Qualification Required: - Life Science graduation or equivalent with Anatomy/Physiology as main subjects. - Masters degree in business administration preferred. - 15+ years of overall coding experience, with a minimum of 5 years in team handling of a team size ranging between 250-600 team members. - Coding certifications such as CPC, COC, CRC, CPC-P from AAPC or CCS, CCS-P, CCA from AHIMA. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong managerial, leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills. - Hands-on experience in generating reports using MS Office - Excel, Word, and MS PowerPoint.,
