Job Description

As an Associate Director in Credit Risk Scorecards and Credit Risk Strategy at Standard Chartered Bank, your role will involve driving the delivery of Credit Risk Scorecards and associated Credit Risk Strategies for Retail and SME portfolios. You will be hands-on in developing predictive models, performing customer segmentation analyses, assisting in risk model implementation, and providing analytic support globally. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding Standard Chartered Group requirements and developing statistically derived predictive models - Performing decision tree-based customer segmentation and profiling analyses - Assisting in the implementation of risk models and providing analytic support - Driving timely delivery with assigned resources while ensuring compliance with standards and legislation In addition to the above, you will be expected to demonstrate the following key responsibilities: - Leading and owning 1-2 engagements at any given time - Ability to explain modelling outputs to Senior Stakeholders in a non-technical manner - Involvement in on-the-ground and data activities - Analytical, strategic, and conceptual thinking - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors/Advanced (Masters or higher) degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, MBA, or other quantitative discipline - At least 4 years of experience in a retail banking/small business lending analytical function - Hands-on experience of 4-6 years in statistical modeling and data analysis - Experience with statistical programming skills in SAS or similar tools - Exposure to international markets will be a plus Standard Chartered is an international bank focused on driving commerce and prosperity through diversity.
