Associate Director- Master Production Scheduling - Capacity Planner - SCM

As a Master Production Scheduler (MPS) and Capacity Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an optimized MPS for Biopharmaceutical production. Your primary focus will be to ensure a balance between supply and demand by collaborating with Supply Network Planning (SNP), regional supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing teams. You will proactively assess production capacity, identify constraints, and address bottlenecks to maintain efficient operations. It is essential to adhere to planning parameters, budgeted capacity assumptions, lead times, and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for coordinating Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) production planning to guarantee uninterrupted supplies to global markets. Managing inventory levels of DS and DP as per predetermined targets to avoid shortages and excess stocks will be a key aspect of your role. Aligning production schedules with new product launch requirements, regulatory filing strategies, and market-specific requirements is crucial for successful operations. In the realm of Input Material Planning, you will develop a robust plan aligned with lead time, inventory, and safety stock targets. Coordinating with production to maintain accurate Bills of Materials and Master Data is essential. Implementation of best practices for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) automation will be a part of your responsibilities. Your role will require close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply network planning, and regional supply chain teams to ensure the smooth execution of production plans. Working closely with cross-functional teams to meet committed timelines and collaborating with procurement, warehouse, and quality departments to ensure raw material availability for uninterrupted manufacturing will be critical. Supporting New Product Launches, process enhancements, and changes by integrating them with the MPS will be essential for organizational success. Performance monitoring and continuous improvement will be integral to your responsibilities. Defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, supply plan versus actuals, inventory targets, and service levels will be essential. Analyzing data to identify patterns and make informed decisions regarding inventory levels and production schedules will be crucial. You will be required to prepare reports for senior management, providing insights into planning metrics and performance. Implementing lean manufacturing and planning practices to improve efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes will be key focus areas. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of planners. Providing direction and support to enhance their skills and performance will be a crucial aspect of your role.
