Associate Director - Indirect Tax

As a key senior leader of Indirect Taxation Division, your focus will be on rendering Indirect Tax (GST) Litigation, Advisory and Compliance services to reputed clients from diverse industries including Financial Services, Garment Manufacturing, Real Estate, Commercial Development, Food & Beverages, Liquor, Healthcare Appliances, Manufacturing of Autospares etc. This would include clients such as Pearl Global, India Bulls Group, Kent Health Care, Lite Bite Food Group, Shivalik Group, Globus Spirits Limited, Ansal Housing & several other mid to large corporates etc

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Advice, planning and support on 'Goods & Services Tax' matters
• Interaction with the department for obtaining approvals and for Client representation.
• Litigation matters before authorities at various levels including independent representations.
• Planning & supporting end to end statutory compliances related to GST including preparation & filing of the returns.
• Plan and schedule the client assignments. Determine, supervise and allocate the right team with adequate skill sets for executing assignments.
• Interacting with Senior Management of Client groups UHNI & large Corporates from diverse industries for successful completion of assignments.
• Display Leadership capability by managing client relations
• Supporting, training and mentoring the team to ensure timely delivery of quality work.
• Demonstrate industry expertise (deep understanding of the industry, emerging trends, issues/challenges, key players & leading practices).
• Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Work with team members to set goals and responsibilities for specific assignments. Foster teamwork and innovation.
• Utilize technology & tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATION

Chartered Accountant/LLB/LLM

REQUISITE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

We seek a candidate with in-depth experience in Indirect Taxation to lead the Indirect Tax vertical of the Firm. Preference shall be given to candidates who possess:

• Over 10 years of post qualification experience, primarily from reputed Consulting / CA / Law Firms
• Practical experience of representation at the department is desirable
• Updated, In depth knowledge of Indirect Tax Legislations in India including mainly GST
• Sound commercial knowledge
• Strong Client management skills
• Strong Team management skills
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
• Leadership capability to grow the division
