Associate Director - Analytics

We are currently seeking a hands-on Analytics Manager to lead a small team of analysts while owning strategic initiatives in analytics and data infrastructure. This role requires someone who can guide analytical thinking, build scalable data solutions in partnership with Engineering, and work directly with senior stakeholders to uncover insights that shape the company's direction. As an Analytics Manager at Vahan.ai, your responsibilities will include: - Building and scaling the analytics function by defining the vision, establishing tools and processes, and building scalable reporting frameworks. Conduct deep-dive analyses, create dashboards, and automate reports to support decision-making across teams. Ensure accurate data collection and reporting. - Leading a high-performing team of analysts by hiring, mentoring, and fostering a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and outcome-oriented thinking. - Collaborating closely with Product, Business, Ops, Data Science, and Engineering teams to identify high-impact problems, design analytical solutions, and deliver insights that inform product and operational strategies. Promote the use of data across all functions. - Partnering with Data Engineering to design robust data models and pipelines, ensuring data reliability, defining key metrics, and implementing best practices around data quality, governance, and documentation. To thrive in this role, you should have: - 8-10 years of experience in analytics or data science, with at least 2 years in leadership roles. - Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with analytical tools like Python, R, and dashboarding platforms (e.g., Metabase, Tableau). - Proven ability to work independently, build systems, and lead teams from scratch. - Strong business acumen with a track record of influencing decisions through data. - Experience in a fast-paced startup or tech-enabled environment is highly desirable.
