Job Title: Associate Data Scientist

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Associate Data Scientist with strong experience in applied analytics and statistical modeling, preferably in consulting or marketing analytics environments. The role involves owning end-to-end analytics engagements, building predictive models, and translating complex data into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end analytics projects from problem definition to insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and define analytical approaches.
  • Build and validate models such as Media Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), forecasting, segmentation, and response/scoring models.
  • Perform data preparation, feature engineering, model evaluation, and documentation using real-world datasets.
  • Balance model accuracy, interpretability, and scalability based on business needs.
  • Present insights and methodologies to non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams for model deployment and monitoring.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to reusable analytics frameworks and best practices.

Required Skills:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in applied data science, analytics, or modeling roles.
  • Hands-on experience with MMM and/or MTA.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and applied mathematics.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R (scikit-learn, XGBoost).
  • Experience in forecasting, segmentation, and response/scoring models.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to Bayesian modeling, causal inference, or optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with NLP, LLM-based applications, or applied AI use cases.
  • Experience with AWS or production ML workflows.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing analytics (paid media, SEO, search).

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience delivering models into production or business decision workflows.
  • Client-facing or consulting experience preferred.
