Associate Data Scientist

As an Associate Data Scientist at Data Axle Inc., you will be joining the Data Science Client Services team to contribute to the identification of high-quality target audiences that drive profitable marketing returns for clients. Your role will involve designing, building, and deploying impactful predictive marketing solutions across various verticals and clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team on a range of projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Ownership of designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning algorithms within a modern Python-based cloud architecture. - Designing or enhancing ML workflows for data ingestion, model design, inference, and scoring. - Overseeing team project execution and delivery. - Establishing peer review guidelines to ensure high-quality coding standards, aiding in the growth of junior team members" skill sets, cross-training, and enhancing team efficiencies. - Visualizing and presenting model performance results and insights to both internal and external audiences. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Master's degree in a relevant quantitative or applied field such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in end-to-end ML model development and deployment within a cloud infrastructure, preferably with experience in Databricks. - Demonstrated ability to manage a small team in a fast-paced environment and lead by example in fulfilling client requests. - Deep knowledge of core mathematical principles related to data science and machine learning, including ML Theory, Best Practices, Feature Engineering, Supervised and Unsupervised ML, and A/B Testing. - Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in PySpark/Spark being a plus. - Ability to conduct productive peer reviews and maintain proper code structure in Github. - Proven experience in developing, testing, and deploying various ML algorithms, such as neural networks, XGBoost, and Bayes. - Working knowledge of modern CI/CD methods.
