Associate Consultant / Senior Associate Consultant - Critical Care Medicine

As a Medical Staff member in Mumbai, you will need to adapt a professional approach with all patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include providing medical cover, both routine and emergency, working collaboratively with other specialties within the institute. You should be proficient in performing procedures such as Central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation. Operating instruments like Ventilator will also be part of your duties. In your role, it is crucial to abide by all clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols. This involves wearing gloves when necessary, using aprons, and maintaining proper hand hygiene. Monitoring patients as needed and identifying complex health issues promptly are essential tasks. You will work under the guidance of Consultants to manage the clinical care of patients effectively. Effective communication with patients, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals is key. Your treatment sheets must be complete with a diagnosis written in capital letters. Each treatment sheet should be dated, named, and signed by the doctor. Collaboration with Consultants for rounds and follow-up care is expected, along with preparing discharge summaries and assessing new admissions. Furthermore, you will be required to follow the on-call and duty rota as per the department's needs. Participation in Quality Improvement Initiatives and adherence to organizational protocols will also be part of your responsibilities. Qualifications required: - MBBS, MD/DNB in Medicine or Anesthesia, Fellowship, or Diploma in a specialized field - 5 to 10 years of post-MD/DNB work experience As a Medical Staff member at this institute, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients, following best practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.,
