Associate- CD, SCM- Listed Automotive, Pune (4 yrs+)

Role Overview: You will be working as an Associate CD (Component Development) in the SCM department of a listed Automotive Component Manufacturer located in Chakan, Pune. As an individual contributor, your main responsibilities will revolve around RFQ stage activities, Proto Development and Production Planning, PPAP & Handover processes, and utilizing your technical capabilities to support new product lines and project closures. Key Responsibilities: - Send RFQ to Electronics component suppliers based on BOM received from the RFQ team and obtain quotations. - Compare and negotiate quotes according to marketing targets and submit for review to HOD / SCM team. - Validate BOM, suggest alternate or low-cost parts, and collaborate with R&D. - Finalize BOM cost, submit for approval, and provide technical / cost-saving / risk mitigation proposals to BD/R&D/PM. - Release PO to suppliers upon BOM cost approval and ensure timely Proto build. - Coordinate with suppliers to meet Proto build timeline and expedite critical parts delivery. - Prepare micro plan, communicate with customers on deliveries, and align USP with low-cost parts for SOP products. - Manage 15-20 projects, maintain a consolidated tracking file, and collaborate with R&D for alternate parts design. - Conduct PPAP for PCB, complete quality inspection processes, monitor stock and supplier inventory, and schedule components for 12 months. - Handover to Regular SCM after resolving all supply-related issues and streamlining processes. Qualification Required: - B.Tech/M.Tech/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics. - Proficiency in understanding BoM and Design DFM, supporting R&D for new product lines, and tracking ECN through PLM.
