Job Description

Role & Responsibilities: Greet and guide patients through the registration process. Capture accurate patient demographic and insurance details in the system. Verify documents, insurance approvals, and eligibility criteria before billing. Ensure completeness of patient records as per hospital policies. Generate OP bills, invoices, and receipts for consultations, diagnostics, procedures, and pharmacy. Process payments via cash, card, UPI, and insurance approvals. Reconcile daily transactions and submit reports to the finance team. Address patient queries regarding billing, payments, and registration. Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for a smooth patient journey. Handle grievances related to billing with empathy and resolution-focused communication. Adhere to hospital protocols, NABH standards, and data privacy policies. Maintain accurate logs of cash transactions, refunds, and patient records. Assist in audits and financial reconciliations as required. Key Skills Required: Strong communication & interpersonal skills Accuracy in billing and data entry Ability to handle high-pressure situations and patient concerns Knowledge of insurance & corporate billing will be an advantage Education: Must be a graduate in any stream, but Science background is preferred Experience: Freshers to 1 yr of experience into Hospital billing is required Candidate should be able to do rotational shifts Morning, Evening and Night. No option for general shifts.
