Assistant Vice President, Financial Accounting Ledger Strategy

As an Assistant Vice President-Financial Accounting Ledger Strategy at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in shaping the target state by leveraging your existing finance knowledge. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing detailed finance knowledge to shape the target state. - Developing materials to effectively communicate information to different audiences. - Understanding the data model, flow, end-to-end solution, and processes. - Analyzing current state operating models against the target model for transition approach. - Supporting transition and assessing progress to ensure new operating models are fully embedded. - Assessing the impact of change against the target operating model and supporting Change & Implementation (C&I) for a pragmatic evolution. - Defining and monitoring performance measures for the success of change management activities. - Ensuring high-quality delivery of the PE close, reporting process, and stakeholder management around reporting. - Implementing controls over the reporting processes in line with HSBC's control framework and compliance requirements. - Supporting development, review, and agreement of required operating model and control changes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong written and oral communication skills in English. - Experience in accounting, financial, regulatory, IFRS, FINREP, and GSIB Reporting. - Understanding of control frameworks and implementation of effective controls. - Ability to analyze unstructured problems and challenge existing procedures. - Qualified accountant/MBA/Finance qualification with more than 8+ years of post-qualification experience. - Familiarity with IFRS, Regulatory, FINREP & GSIB reporting. - Experience with core HSBC Finance tools and routines. - Subject matter expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and management information processes. - Experience in building relationships with various stakeholders, including senior stakeholders. - Practical understanding of software development lifecycles and methods.
