Assistant Vice President- Exchange Trading & Fund Research

As an Assistant Vice President - Exchange trading & Fund Research at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in conducting quantitative analysis and monitoring of Exchange Trading Funds to ensure alignment with investment themes and business requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting quantitative analysis of Exchange Trading Funds replication metrics and trading data to identify and onboard appropriate solutions. - Analyzing underlying index structures and portfolio exposures to align Exchange Trading Funds with investment themes. - Monitoring Recommended Exchange Trading Funds on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and working with issuers to address any exceptions. - Engaging proactively with various HSBC business lines to understand and manage their requirements for Exchange Trading Funds. - Continuously monitoring the Exchange Trading Funds shelf and recommending changes based on market environment and business needs. - Preparing and editing thought leadership research pieces on Exchange Trading Funds industry topics and organizing webinars for a global audience. - Staying updated with market economics and asset class idiosyncrasies to capture and analyze dynamic information affecting underlying investments in covered Exchange Trading Funds. Qualifications required for this role include: - Proven expertise in Exchange Trading Funds analysis, selection, research, structuring, trading, or portfolio management. - An analytical mindset with attention to detail. - Excellent writing and communication skills. - Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure and meet deadlines. - Strong team player with organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Bloomberg. Practical experience in financial markets, macroeconomic environment, risk management, regulations, and their application to financial markets is desirable. - Professional qualifications or certifications like a Chartered Financial Analyst or a Master's degree are advantageous.
