Assistant Vice President-Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Citi, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven transformation across the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Providing quantitative and qualitative insights on user experience and data sets performance. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders to develop models for critical business decisions. - Identifying new opportunities for leveraging data science to enhance operational efficiency. - Assimilating business requirements and technical aspects to ensure data accuracy and integrity. - Assisting data architect and data analyst in data gathering techniques and design processes. - Ensuring high data integrity by selecting the best tools and techniques for algorithms and technologies. - Designing and developing processes for data modeling and production, tracking key performance metrics. - Partnering with multi-functional teams to collaborate on projects. - Setting goals, defining KPIs, and measuring the improvement of data analytics processes. - Analyzing data modeling, revenue generation, and targeting. To excel in this role, you should have: - Demonstrated experience in working on complex Data Science projects. - Knowledge and experience of all phases of SDLC. - Good understanding of the Banking domain including Wealth, Cards, Deposit, Loans & Insurance. - Knowledge of Finance Regulations and understanding of Audit Process. - Exposure to business intelligence, data warehousing/platform, and data strategy projects. - Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management experiences. - Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Qualifications required for this position: - BSc and MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related science field from a well-established University. - Minimum of 7 years of proven working experience in Data Science & ML areas. - Solid theoretical and hands-on knowledge of Econometrics, Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning & AI concepts. - Exceptional programming skills in Data Science scripting (such as Python / R). - Deep Learning concepts & tools (H2O, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, OpenAI, and LangChain). - Experience in SQL and interpretation of large databases (via tools such as Hive, Spark). - Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to think strategically. - Ability to communicate results effectively and explain technical methodologies in a non-technical audience. Additional skills considered a plus (not a prerequisite) include experience with Cloud Technologies (MS Azure, GCP, AWS), understanding of ML lifecycle, hands-on experience with ML Ops, Agentic AI, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
