Assistant Urban Designer

As an Assistant Urban Designer in the Tourism sector at IPE Global Ltd., you will play a crucial role in contributing to sustainable development and urban design projects. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing detailed design documents, infographics, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide design inputs for various projects and utilize design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Adobe Suite, etc., to create visually compelling representations. You will be tasked with developing and implementing end-to-end urban design solutions for designated tourist destinations, involving envisioning, planning, and executing architectural and urban design projects. This will require conducting detailed site assessments to understand existing infrastructure, cultural significance, and environmental factors influencing the design process. Furthermore, you will create master plans that integrate infrastructure development, landscape design, and architectural enhancements to enhance the overall visitor experience. Your role will also involve creating innovative design concepts aligned with project goals of enhancing visitor experience, promoting local culture, and improving accessibility. It is essential to integrate sustainable design principles into all aspects of urban planning and development, focusing on energy efficiency, waste management, and green spaces. Collaboration and coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and garner local support will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be responsible for adhering to project timelines, ensuring that design and deliverable milestones are achieved within specified timeframes. Oversight of project execution to ensure compliance with approved designs, timelines, and quality standards will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting overall business development, from identifying relevant opportunities to proposal writing and forging strategic partnerships for technical proposals to contract signing. To be successful in this role, you should possess a B.Arch/M.Arch/Master of Urban Design with excellent graphical skills and 0-1 year of work experience in areas related to sustainable development, tourism development, urban planning, or urban design, preferably in corporate or international organizations. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, and ESRI ArcGIS is essential. Being highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities, along with demonstrating a problem-solving attitude and experience in team management, will be beneficial. Additionally, a willingness to travel to project locations for extended periods is required.
