Assistant Technician/Mechanic

Role Overview: As an Assistant Technician at Eicher Commercial Vehicles, your main responsibility will be to support senior technicians in maintaining, servicing, and repairing Eicher commercial vehicles. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all vehicles meet company standards, leading to customer satisfaction and optimal vehicle performance. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of Eicher trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles. - Support in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues under supervision. - Perform basic service tasks like oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, wheel alignment checks, and battery inspection. - Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tools, equipment, and the workshop area. - Ensure timely documentation of work performed and update job cards accurately. - Follow safety protocols and Eicher service guidelines during all repair activities. - Assist in pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness. - Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of jobs. - Attend product and technical training sessions as required to enhance skills. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred). - Experience: 02 years of experience in vehicle servicing or maintenance (freshers with technical knowledge may also apply). Additional Details: The work conditions for this role involve working in a Workshop / Service Center environment, which may include physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long hours.
