Assistant Technician/Mechanic

Job Title: Assistant Technician – Eicher Commercial VehiclesJob Purpose:

To assist senior technicians in carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repair of Eicher commercial vehicles in compliance with company standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth vehicle performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of Eicher trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles.
• Support in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues under supervision.
• Perform basic service tasks such as oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, wheel alignment checks, and battery inspection.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tools, equipment, and the workshop area.
• Ensure timely documentation of work performed and update job cards accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and Eicher service guidelines during all repair activities.
• Assist in pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Attend product and technical training sessions as required to enhance skills.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of automobile systems (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electricals).
• Ability to use basic hand tools and workshop equipment.
• Eagerness to learn and work under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Discipline in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety norms.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in vehicle servicing or maintenance (freshers with technical knowledge may also apply).

Work Conditions:

• Workshop / Service Center environment.
• May involve physical work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long hours.
• Adherence to Eicher service schedules and quality standards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
