Assistant Technician

A Commercial Vehicle Assistant Technician helps diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks/buses, performing tasks like oil changes, brake/tire service, basic electrical fixes, and diagnostics, while ensuring safety, documenting work, managing parts, and learning advanced repairs under senior tech guidance to keep fleets running smoothly. They use diagnostic tools, follow safety protocols, and maintain clean work areas. Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, fluid checks, and grease jobs.
• Diagnostics: Assist in identifying mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic software and tools.
• Repairs: Help repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems (lights, batteries).
• Inspections: Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, check for damage, and assist with DOT/safety compliance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, parts used, and work orders.
• Inventory: Manage parts stock and assist with ordering.
• Safety: Adhere to all shop safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: ITI, Diploma, or relevant certifications in Automobile/Mechanical fields.
• Experience: Previous experience with commercial vehicles is often required or preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, and repair procedures.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and a willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,086.00 - ₹14,903.68 per month
