Assistant Professor of English

Position Overview:

The Department of English is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and passionate Assistant Professor to teach and mentor students in English Communication Skills. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in the nuances of both written and spoken communication, and have a solid academic background in English literature, linguistics, or a related field. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, designing course material, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and facilitate seminars on English Communication Skills.

* Design and implement course syllabus, lesson plans, and other educational materials.

* Provide instruction in areas including but not limited to: English grammar, public speaking, writing skills, reading comprehension, listening skills, and pronunciation.

* Conduct both online and offline assessments, including quizzes, assignments, and exams.

* Offer individual and group counseling to students on improving communication skills.

* Engage in Research Activities & Attend departmental meetings, contribute to academic committees, and participate in institutional events.

* Participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional opportunities related to English communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

* A Ph.D. in English Communication, Linguistics, or a related field from a recognized university.

* A Ph.D. in a related discipline with 2 years of teaching experience in English or English Communication Skills.

* Familiar with ERP.

* Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) at an advanced level.

* Good Knowledge of Computer.

* Ability to engage with students of diverse academic backgrounds.

* Proficiency in using educational technology, such as online learning platforms and tools.

* Knowledge of various English communication skills training methods (e.g., interactive activities, multimedia tools).
