Assistant Professor

Job Description: As an Assistant Professor in the Economics area at Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics, Mumbai Campus, SVKMs NMIMS Deemed to be University, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and research in the field of Economics. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university. Additionally, you should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET. Alternatively, a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations of 2009 or 2016 may exempt you from the NET/SLET/SET requirement. In addition to the above qualifications, you are expected to have a minimum of 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals. It is desirable, though not mandatory, to have a Ph.D. with at least 2 years of entry-level experience. Presenting at least two papers based on your Ph.D. work in conferences or seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies would be advantageous. Your published work may include books, research periodicals, Ph.D. guidance, consultancy projects, and filed patents.
