Job Summary Ganpat University is seeking a dedicated and qualified Assistant Professor in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and administrative activities of the department. The role requires a strong commitment to fostering a learning environment, advancing research, and engaging in professional development activities. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning : Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessments to align with industry standards and academic requirements. Mentor and guide students in academic projects, internships, and research activities. Research and Development : Conduct high-quality research in the field of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, leading to publications in reputed journals and conferences. Pursue funded research projects and collaborate with industry and academic partners. Supervise student research projects and dissertations. Administrative Duties : Participate in departmental and university committees, academic planning, and accreditation processes. Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and industry-academia interaction programs. Contribute to student counseling, career guidance, and placement activities. Professional Development : Stay updated with advancements in Instrumentation and Control Engineering through continuous learning and professional development. Engage in community outreach and extension activities to promote the universitys vision and mission. Qualifications and Experience Educational Qualification : M.E./M.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation, or a related field from a recognized university with first-class or equivalent. Ph.D in a relevant discipline is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates pursuing a Ph.D. will be given preference. Experience : 2-3 years of teaching and/or research experience in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related fields. Industry experience in instrumentation, automation, or control systems is desirable. Skills and Competencies : Strong knowledge of core subjects such as Process Control, Industrial Instrumentation, Control Systems, Sensors and Transducers, and PLC/DCS systems. Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW) and programming (e.g., C, Python) for instrumentation applications. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with diverse stakeholders. Desirable Attributes Experience in curriculum development and outcome-based education. Proven record of research publications or patents in the field of instrumentation or control systems. Exposure to accreditation processes (e.g., NAAC, NBA). Ability to secure research grants or industry collaborations.
