Assistant Professor - Bio Chemistry

Role & responsibilities

• Laboratory analysis:

  Performing biochemical tests on patient samples like blood, urine, and other bodily fluids using various techniques like spectrophotometry, chromatography, and immunoassays.

• Result interpretation:

  Analyzing test results, identifying abnormalities, and providing accurate interpretations for diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Reporting:

  Writing clear and concise reports detailing laboratory findings and communicating them to healthcare providers.

• Quality control:

  Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, monitoring quality control measures to ensure accuracy of results, and adhering to laboratory safety protocols.

• Test development:

  Participating in the development and validation of new diagnostic tests, including evaluating their clinical utility.

• Clinical collaboration:

  Consulting with clinicians on patient cases, discussing test results, and providing expert advice on interpretation.

• Research participation:

  Conducting research studies related to clinical biochemistry, including designing experiments, data analysis, and publication of findings.

• Staff training:

  Providing technical expertise and training to laboratory staff on new techniques and procedures.

• Laboratory management:

  Managing laboratory operations, including inventory control, budget management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Analytical thinking:

  Ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns in test results.

• Attention to detail:

  Maintaining accuracy in laboratory procedures and data analysis.

• Communication skills:

  Effectively communicating findings to clinicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Technical expertise:

  Proficiency with laboratory equipment and techniques used in clinical biochemistry.
