Assistant Primary Educators

As an Assistant educator at our Preschool to Grade 12 school in Rajkot (Gujarat), founded by Harvard alums, your role will involve supporting the implementation of the Northstar Approach, a research-based approach to learning. Here are the key responsibilities: - Support classroom teaching, assessment, activities, events, and record maintenance. - Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, manage learner behavior, facilitate transitions, and ensure safety protocols. - Assist in assessing learner progress, keep records, and communicate with lead teachers about areas of growth. - Provide additional assistance to learners who require support with academic concepts or social-emotional skills. - Work in small groups with learners as needed and act as a replacement educator when necessary. - Collaborate with colleagues, attend meetings, contribute to the school community, and engage in professional development. - Help learners develop social skills, encourage positive interactions, and teach conflict resolution strategies. - Plan, organize, and implement school events and functions. - Develop positive relationships with learners and support their holistic development in early childhood. Qualifications: - Bachelor or masters degree in any field of education. - Prior experience in teaching at progressive organizations is beneficial.
