Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Overseeing Nursing Operations : Supervise and manage all nursing activities in the hospital or healthcare facility, ensuring that high standards of nursing care are maintained. Staff Management : Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff. Develop schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient care needs. Conduct performance evaluations and implement continuing education programs. Clinical Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to nurses in the implementation of nursing policies, protocols, and clinical procedures. Promote evidence-based practices and patient-centered care. Budget and Resource Management : Oversee budgeting for the nursing department, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. Manage supplies, equipment, and medications used by the nursing team. Quality Assurance : Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, conducting audits, and evaluations of nursing services. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives. Infection Control : Implement and monitor infection control policies and protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards within the nursing team and across the healthcare facility. Conduct regular infection control audits, identifying potential risks and addressing gaps. Educate and train nursing staff on proper infection control practices such as hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and isolation procedures. Work closely with the Infection Control Committee to develop strategies for outbreak management and containment. Patient Care and Safety : Ensure that patient care is delivered safely and effectively. Address patient complaints and issues, ensuring proper resolutions and high levels of patient satisfaction. Collaboration with Other Departments : Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physiotherapists, and administrators, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and smooth hospital operations. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that the nursing department adheres to all applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and standards, including accreditation and licensure requirements. Ensure compliance with local and national infection control laws and guidelines. Research and Development : Stay up to date with the latest nursing practices, technologies, and treatments. Encourage nursing staff to participate in research activities and implement innovative practices to improve patient care. Crisis Management : Lead and manage nursing teams during emergencies or critical situations, ensuring quick and efficient responses to patient care needs, including during infectious disease outbreaks. Record Keeping and Reporting : Ensure that nursing records and reports are accurately maintained, up-to-date, and compliant with legal and ethical standards. Document infection control practices and any infection-related incidents. Promote a Healthy Work Environment : Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment for the nursing staff. Address any issues related to work culture, staff morale, or workplace safety. Preferred candidate profile : Candidate with minimum 7-10 years of experience , can join immidiately is preffered.
