Assistant Manager/Manager GL accounting

As an Assistant Manager Finance (General Ledger) in the Corporate Finance department based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for utilizing your solid accounting concepts and knowledge to manage month-end close processes and conduct Balance Sheet reconciliations. Your duties will include reconciling GL balances with supporting documents, supporting business segments during month/quarter end close activities, and preparing and posting journal entries. Key Responsibilities: - Primary focus on month-end/quarter-end accounting and reconciliation activities - Monthly closure of books of accounts of legal entities, including working on provisions of expenses, depreciation, and prepaid amortization - Preparing monthly/quarterly/annually consolidated Financial Statements as per IGAAP of subsidiaries and associated activities for accurate and timely results reporting to management - Serving as the key point of contact with external and internal auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance with Indian GAAP - Ensuring general ledger control, direct tax compliance/assessments, lease accounting, and financial reporting Critical Requirements For The Role (Must-Haves): - Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong technical knowledge of Indian GAAP - 4+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting and taxation - Well-versed with Ind-AS/US GAAP such as leases, revenue recognition, and familiarity with IFRS would be an added advantage Preferred Requirements (Nice To Haves): - Experience in a Big Four (Assurance) - Experience working in global organizations - Familiarity with NetSuite ERP Candidate Attributes (Culture Fit): - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently - Displays flexibility and ability to learn - Willing to get hands dirty and set processes from the ground up Please note that your job responsibilities may extend beyond the mentioned Job Description, and you may be required to perform any other tasks/functions as required by the Company.,
