Assistant Manager - Retail Sales

As an Assistant Branch Manager in Retail (Ethnic Menswear), your key responsibilities will include assisting in day-to-day store operations, such as opening and closing procedures, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of ethnic menswear stock. You will also be responsible for maintaining visual merchandising standards to enhance the shopping experience for customers. In terms of sales and customer service, you will drive sales by promoting products, addressing customer queries and complaints with professionalism, and training and motivating staff to meet sales targets and deliver exceptional service. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor sales staff, conduct regular performance evaluations, create staff schedules, and manage attendance to ensure adequate floor coverage. You will be expected to analyze sales reports, identify trends to optimize store performance, assist the Branch Manager in preparing financial and operational reports, monitor competitor activities, and recommend strategies to stay competitive in the market. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of retail experience, preferably in apparel or ethnic menswear. Proven experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales and customer service skills, the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively, proficiency in retail management software and the MS Office Suite, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
